Return and Refund Policy

Thank you for shopping with Amani Aura ("Amani Aura," "we," "our," or "us"). We want you to love what you receive. This Return and Refund Policy ("Policy") sets out the terms under which returns, exchanges, and refunds are accepted for orders placed through amaniaura.com (the "Site"). Please read it carefully — placing an order constitutes acceptance of this Policy, together with our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Shipping Policy.

Nothing in this Policy limits any non-excludable rights you have under applicable consumer protection laws (including, where applicable, statutory rights of withdrawal, rights in respect of faulty goods, and rights under the EU Consumer Rights Directive, the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015, the US Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act, or equivalent legislation in your jurisdiction).

1. Return Window

You may request a return within 30 calendar days of the delivery date of your order. Requests received after the 30-day window has expired may be declined at our sole discretion.

2. Eligibility Conditions

To be eligible for a return, items must be:

  • unused, unworn, unwashed, and in the same condition that you received them;
  • returned with all original tags, labels, protective packaging, and any accessories or free gifts included with the order;
  • in their original product packaging, where practicable, and in a condition suitable for resale;
  • accompanied by the original order confirmation, receipt, or other proof of purchase.

We reserve the right to refuse a return, or to reduce any refund by a reasonable amount, if the returned item shows signs of use, wear, damage caused by the customer, missing components, or handling beyond what is necessary to inspect the product.

3. Non-Returnable Items

For hygiene, safety, and legal reasons, the following items cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded unless they are faulty, damaged on arrival, or materially not as described:

  • items that have been opened, used, or had their hygiene seal broken (where applicable);
  • personalised, custom-made, or made-to-order items;
  • intimate or personal care items that are not suitable for return due to health or hygiene reasons once unsealed;
  • perishable goods;
  • gift cards, store credit, and digital products or downloads once delivered;
  • items returned more than 30 days after delivery.

This Section does not override any non-excludable rights you may have under applicable consumer protection law in respect of faulty, damaged, or misdescribed goods.

4. How to Initiate a Return

To start a return, please email us at amani@amaniaura.com with:

  • your order number and the name on the order;
  • the item(s) you wish to return and the reason for return;
  • clear photographs of the item(s) and packaging, where the return relates to a defect, damage, or incorrect item.

We will respond within 1–3 business days with return instructions, including the return address. Please do not send items back without first receiving authorisation from us — unauthorised returns may be refused or may not be eligible for a refund.

5. Return Shipping

Unless the return is due to our error (for example, a defective, damaged, or incorrect item), return shipping is the responsibility of the customer. We recommend using a tracked and, where appropriate, insured shipping service. Amani Aura is not responsible for returns that are lost, delayed, or damaged in transit back to us.

Original shipping charges paid on your order are non-refundable, except where required by applicable law or where the return is due to a fault on our part.

Returns sent freight collect, cash on delivery, or requiring payment by us on receipt will be refused.

6. Inspection and Refund Processing

Once your return is received, we will inspect the item(s) and notify you by email of the outcome, typically within 5 business days of receipt. If the return is approved, your refund will be processed to the original payment method used at checkout.

Please allow up to 10 business days after the refund is issued for the amount to appear on your statement. Processing times after we issue the refund are controlled by your bank or payment provider and are outside our control.

We will refund:

  • the price paid for the returned item(s);
  • any taxes paid on those item(s), where applicable;
  • original shipping charges, only where the return is due to our error, a defect, or as otherwise required by applicable law.

7. Exchanges

We are happy to exchange items for a different size, colour, or variant where stock is available. To request an exchange, follow the return procedure in Section 4 and indicate the replacement item you would like. Exchanges are subject to the eligibility conditions in Section 2 and to stock availability. Where the requested replacement is unavailable, we will issue a refund instead.

8. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or is not the item you ordered, please contact us at amani@amaniaura.com within 7 calendar days of delivery, including:

  • your order number;
  • a description of the issue;
  • clear photographs of the product, including any damage, and of the outer and inner packaging.

Where the issue is verified, we will, at our option and in accordance with applicable law, arrange a replacement, a repair, or a full refund including original shipping and reasonable return shipping costs. This Section does not limit your statutory rights in respect of faulty goods.

9. Late or Missing Refunds

If you have not received a refund within 10 business days of the date we confirmed it was issued, please:

  • check the original payment method and any associated accounts;
  • contact your bank or card issuer — there is often processing time before a refund is posted;
  • if you have completed the above and still have not received your refund, contact us at amani@amaniaura.com and we will investigate.

10. Order Cancellations

You may request cancellation of an order before it has entered processing or been dispatched by emailing amani@amaniaura.com. Once an order has been handed to the carrier, it is subject to this Policy as a return. This Section does not limit any statutory right of withdrawal you may have under applicable consumer law.

11. Sale, Promotional, and Gifted Items

Items purchased on sale or with a promotional discount are eligible for return under this Policy unless expressly marked as final sale or non-returnable at the time of purchase. Refunds will be issued at the price actually paid, net of any discount applied.

Gifts marked as such at checkout may be returned for store credit equal to the price paid by the gift giver, subject to the eligibility conditions in this Policy.

12. Chargebacks and Disputes

We encourage customers to contact us before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute. Most issues can be resolved quickly and directly. Opening a chargeback before giving us a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue may delay resolution and may result in suspension of future orders.

13. Fraudulent or Abusive Returns

Amani Aura reserves the right to refuse returns, limit future purchases, or take other appropriate action in cases of suspected fraud, returns policy abuse, or where returns are clearly inconsistent with the normal use and inspection of the product.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The version in effect at the time you place your order will apply to that order. The "Last updated" date at the top of this Policy indicates when it was most recently revised.

15. Consumer Rights

This Policy is in addition to, and does not limit, any statutory rights you have as a consumer under the laws applicable to your purchase, including the right to a remedy in respect of goods that are faulty, unsafe, or not as described.
